WHAT IS FINE ART?

“What is fine art?”  We hear this asked by many.

Our Fine Art Printing service is a superior way of displaying and protecting your images.

We offer museum-quality paper.

Fine Art Paper is thick and made from an archival cotton rag. It is also referred to as a Giclee print.

Archival quality inks are used and include 12 ink colourants to produce a large colour gamut.

These colours when mixed together are able to produce millions of different colours.

They have a colour range that is much larger than your typical large format printer.

Combining Fine Art paper and archival ink results in a museum grade print that will last 75-100 years.

What is a Limited Edition?

Limited Editions are printed up to only 100 editions.

All Tania Wicks Limited edition prints come signed, numbered and hold a Certificate of Authenticity.

Due to their limited numbers, they may increase in value over time as they are collected artworks.

Our Limited Edition prints are printed on heavyweight, fine art archival cotton rag paper.

1. Fine Art Paper

Archival quality is the number one benefit for printing on Fine Art paper.

We have chosen Fine Art papers because of their matt finish, creamier whites and overall archival rating.

Fine Art paper is superior in both strength and durability.

Tania uses the latest professional range of Canon cameras and lenses, which result in superior print quality.

2. Canvas Framed Prints

Please request a quote if you prefer your print on canvas.

Tania uses genuine, archival-grade canvas. Our canvas is a heavy-weight 450gsm, free of artificial whiteners and offers amazing colour and definition.

We create each frame using premium, double-profiled 40mm meranti hardwood.

The double-bevelled profile means your print sits flush against the wall, and the outline of the timber won’t show through the front of the canvas.

This hardwood quality will ensure your canvas does not twist or warp.

Quality Inks

Our canvas is printed with genuine Epson Ultrachrome inks, producing bright, vibrant colours and finished with a satin laminate to provide UV and handling protection.

Time after time, clients comment on how stunning our colours are compared with prints seen elsewhere.

The inks have been independently tested to last 75 years without fading by the world’s leading authority on ink stability.
