WHAT IS FINE ART?
“What is fine art?” We hear this asked by many.
Our Fine Art Printing service is a superior way of displaying and protecting your images.
We offer museum-quality paper.
Fine Art Paper is thick and made from an archival cotton rag. It is also referred to as a Giclee print.
Archival quality inks are used and include up to 12 ink colourants to produce a large colour gamut.
These colours when mixed together are able to produce millions of different colours.
They have a colour range that is much larger than your typical large format printer.
Combining Fine Art paper and archival ink results in a museum grade print that will last 75-100 years.
What is an Open Edition?
An open edition reproduction print is produced in unlimited quantities and does not come signed or numbered. Open editions are at a price point that suits all budgets, without compromising on quality. Tania Wicks open edition prints are printed on thick 250gsm Fine Art paper.
What is a Limited Edition?
Limited Editions are printed up to only 100 editions. All Tania Wicks Limited edition prints come signed, numbered and hold a Certificate of Authenticity. Due to their limited numbers, they may increase in value over time as they are collected artworks. Limited Edition prints are printed on extra-thick 308gsm Fine Art paper.
1. Fine Art Paper
Archival quality is the number one benefit for printing on Fine Art paper.
We have chosen Fine Art papers because of their matt finish, creamier whites and overall archival rating.
Fine Art paper is superior in both strength and durability.
Tania uses the latest professional range of Canon cameras and lenses, which result in superior print quality.
2. Canvas Framed Prints
Tania’s archival canvas prints represent the finest standard in photography on canvas.
They come ready to hang on your wall.
The canvas we use is 80% cotton, 20% polyester. The polyester is added to give greater tension across the image so it does not sag over time. Our stretcher bar is plantation-grown pine. Durable, strong and environmentally friendly. Its high quality will ensure your canvas does not twist or warp.
This archival-quality canvas enables fantastic colour and definition and is featured in well-known art galleries and art museums around the world.
Our canvas is printed with genuine Epson Ultrachrome inks, producing bright, vibrant colours.
Time after time, clients comment on how stunning our colours are compared with prints seen elsewhere.
The inks have been independently tested to last 75 years without fading by the world’s leading authority on ink stability.
Ready to Hang
Our framed canvas is finished to an equally high standard, including carefully inserted hooks and cord for hanging.
Prior to shipping, our canvas is carefully hand taped using 100% acid-free framer’s tape.
Framed canvases are then shipped and ready to hang straight from the box.
4. Acrylic Face Mount Prints – Available upon Request
This frameless, glass-like feel is one of the most impressive and striking ways to display our prints.
Printed on a professional metallic paper, creates a ‘pearlescent’ metallic gloss finish.
Our print is face-mounted onto optically clear, museum grade acrylic which offers 99% UV protection.
Ready to hang
The crisp, clean image is backed with treated aluminium, protecting our print from front to back.
It is then finished with a diamond edge polisher. This comes ready to hang, with a thin aluminium frame hidden behind the print, so our print can be securely hung on your wall.
The optical clarity and sparkle of the acrylic not only enhances the colours and visual intensity of your image but also provides UV protection and great physical stability.
The ultramodern look of our professionally made acrylic face mounts is perfectly suitable for contemporary art galleries and museums, stylish homes, office spaces and hotel lobbies.
