Jewellery Launch Day
I have been looking forward to this day for month! The big day has finally arrived and my client, the very talented Natalia Jorgensen show cased her beautiful Jewellery collection at the Stella and Dash launch party. It was a glittering affair with bubbly champagne and a gorgeous smorgasbord of treats. The garden was beautifully decorated with golden sunlight streaming through the trees and the wonderful buzz of ladies and friends.
Pretty flower table pieces added a soft and inviting touch and a beautiful photo wall was brought in for guests to take much loved selfies, it was very popular!
I was so impressed with Natalia’s attention to detail and it payed off as her Stella and Dash earrings and bangles were carefully displayed in various spots for all to see and touch.
I had a few questions for Natalia…
Q. How did you come up with the name Stella and Dash?
The name Stella and Dash is actually quite random! A lot of people ask if Stella and Dash are the names of her children. Definately not so and Natalia is not so sure her boys would want their names associated with sparkles and pretty jewellery pieces although she didn’t ask! To come up with Stella and Dash she used a random word generator on the internet. Natalia just entered her name, her husband’s name, both their children’s names and hit “go!” Then she sifted through words that popped up which were made from the letters in their names. Stella and Dash just seemed to go together and voila, her business name was established!
Q. How are your pieces made and where do you get your inspiration from?
All of Natalia’s items are handmade with pieces sourced from Australian suppliers and alot of her inspiration comes from artwork created by her Mother, Lyndal Jorgensen, who started painting about 5 years ago. They started collaborating in mid 2018 and came up with a line of earrings using images from her artwork. Natalia hopes to come up with more styles made from Lyndal’s artwork in the future.
Q. What was life before Stella and Dash?
Previously, Natalia ran a small business making baby bibs and teething accessories. Once her children were out of that stage of life, she lost a little of the passion for it and she found that she didn’t have the extra time to focus on a business that wasn’t exciting to her anymore. It has been almost 3 years since she closed down her baby businessa and in February 2018 Natalia decided to start hand making her own earrings. It was a hobby at first but has evolved over the past 6 months into a full time business that she can run from home.
Stella and Dash is the latest of Natalia’s entrepreneurial adventures. If you are looking for simple, stylish and fun jewellery head over to Natalia’s new website Stella and Dash to see the latest earrings and bangles in the online shop.
